Moving on

Today is our last day at RVA. We’ve loved it here so it’s kind of sad leaving. But I am still really excited to see the city and meet new people.

Yesterday a man by the name of Martin came to the door selling batiks and banana leaf pictures. We bought some stuff from him. It was really funny trying to buy stuff because we have no idea what the value and cost of these things are. Oh well…we got our first authentic souvenirs and Martin made his monthly income! It was a fun way to buy something because we sat down and he showed us all of his work and explained how everything was made.

As we head into Nairobi today we are really realizing how fast our time is going and how soon the travel study is. We’re looking forward to seeing people from home and doing some touristy and class type stuff. Please pray that our time with the Felkners goes well and that we would be prepared for the travel study in time.

Hi Guys.

So are you in Nairobi now? Hope all is well! We miss you so much but this method of communication is lots of fun and makes me feel that you are not quite so far away. I’m looking forward to more stories, pics & news!

We saw Megan last night…she’s looking great and seemed really excited about her summer. Did you see her comment on your “Family & Friends” post?

You are in our thoughts and prayers always. Stay safe…..

Love,
Mom & Dad
