It’s interesting to think about our trip and have no idea what to imagine. We quite often go to an image of a safari, of sand, the desert or the painted faces we are accustomed to seeing in National Geographic. When describing our trip to people, we don’t want it to seem like we’re just looking forward to the safari we’ll be going on - it’s only three days out of the 70 or so that we’ll be in Africa - but it’s easy to visualize a safari (or so we think!). I’m sure that when we return in the fall, the safari will only be one small highlight of a wonderful trip. Our eyes will be opened as we discover the true Kenya, and we hope and pray that we’ll be able to effectively communicate all that we have seen.
Note: the above photo is not of Kenya, rather it is Mt. Baldy, a large sand dune in Northwest Indiana.
