We joined up with the group from home on Friday. So far it’s gone pretty well. Everyone seems to get along pretty well and we’re having a lot of fun. We’ve already done so much and the schedule doesn’t slow down anytime soon.
While it is nice to be with so many friends from home, sometimes it gets frustrating. It’s hard enough being white in the midst of so many black people, it’s even harder walking around in a group of 20. Before many people looked at us, now everyone does. In most cases the people are welcoming, but there are also a fair share of unfriendly looks.
We’re heading out on a safari tomorrow morning, so it’s hard to know whether we’ll have any internet access until later in the week. Right now we’re sitting in an “internet cafe” in Nairobi, hence the lack of photos with this update.
